I've had regular services done at Swedish Car Clinic and I'll be returning again and again because these professionals know their stuff. Aside from the car care knowledge, there's a lot to like: nice amenities (comfortable accommodations, coffee, and Mexican pastries when I was there), a view into the service bay (if you care about that), the fact that clearly an automotive enthusiast is at the helm (see the horseless carriage, the Volvo to pickup truck conversion, the Renault Turbo2, and a transverse 6 motorcycle project that adorn the shop). Their stock of used cars (mostly Volvos, if I recall correctly) seem fairly priced based on inspection of the price list. They have friendly staff and a clean and orderly shop. I've had a few pluses and minuses along the way with SCC, but in my experience it always takes a bit of time to get to know a new mechanic and vice versa, so I'm willing to overlook early minor issues. Indeed, more recent service with SCC has been issue free. I've dropped my car off slightly before 7:30 when the roll up door was opened. I think their start time is officially 8:00, but the early drop off wasn't a problem for them. A minor annoyance on my first visit: They changed out both front and back license plate frames to Swedish Car Clinic frames. I don't miss the old ones but I wish they'd asked if I wanted to advertise their business for free. The service also took longer than I had expected. I was told an hour but it was considerably longer (though not over 2 hours).
